During the first half of 2024, revenues experienced an average cumulative growth in constant values of 3.2 percent, with the majority of countries in CIAT’s database (17 out of 22) reporting increases in tax collection. By tax type, performance was positive across all categories, with a 1.7 percent increase in income taxes and excise taxes, and greater growth in VAT (3.4 percent) and Other Taxes (5.1 percent). Latin America and the Caribbean recorded an average real revenue increase of 2.2 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
